Bend, OR
Gravel Bike Skills Camp

Signature Two-Day Gravel Camp

DATES TBA

$TBD

An outdoor playground in the Pacific Northwest

This camp is hosted at Seventh Mountain Resort and will take place in conjunction with two of our mountain bike signature camps, giving you the magic of being surrounded by women who love bikes. We will work on dialing in skills, learning route navigation and how to stay safe and in control on changing roads.

Each afternoon we sample the gravel goodness that Bend has to offer while applying the skills we learn in the morning! We will ride a mix of pavement, double track forest service roads, and mellow single track trails on our rides. Whoo hoo!

Bend, OR is an outdoor enthusiast's dream. We love living in Bend for its outdoor pursuits, laid-back vibe, pristine beauty, sun-drenched days and cool nights. The gravel roads and trails are flowy and fun. You can't help but smile on some of the long swooping downhills. The best thing about Bend is the easy access to so many trails nearby, yet you're deep in the woods away from it all. Plus, with around 16 breweries (our favorite is Deschutes Brewery) and a plethora of local coffee goodness, it's easy to wind up or wind down in this outdoor mecca.

More Information

  • This is a “gravel” focused camp that will mix skills building with awesome gravel rides each day.

Are you gravel curious? Are you looking to gain more confidence or skills for your next race or adventure? This camp is for you!

Our venue has some great skill-building areas to help gain confidence for our afternoon rides. This camp is great for all levels of riders, especially newer riders because the roads and terrain are fairly mellow (meaning not super steep or technical). There will be an ample amount of pedaling so it is advised to have some base fitness and stamina for the weekend, keeping in mind the rides are not “hammer-fests” because we stop frequently and the weekend is about the collective group experience.

  • $525

  • Gravel cycling refers to biking on roads that are primarily made of gravel and are situated off the pavement. In Oregon, several roads were initially constructed for logging and commerce purposes, having a sturdy foundation and a layer of gravel on top. Nowadays, these roads are employed for recreational activities on both public and private lands. Therefore, if you wish to explore more, you may want to give gravel cycling a try.

    • Bike.

  • A cyclocross bike or gravel specific bike is requried for this camp. A mountain bike or road bike will not suffice. A minimum of a 35mm cyclocross tire is requried and a larger gravel tire of 38-42mm is suggested for the terrain in Bend. If you have questions about your bike or equipment please email info@ladiesallride.com

  • A moderate level of fitness is required for this camp. You should be able to complete a 15-20 mile gravel ride at a conversational fun pace. Our rides will be 15-30 miles each day depending on the group and conditions. The tone is fun, so the rides will be no drop and are not about hammering, its about having fun with your friends in the woods!
